Historical GDP

Something I have written about from time to time (particularly in the context of the British invasion of India) is the variation of GDP through history. GDP is not a perfect nor necessarily even a good measure, but it has become ubiquitous. I've now come across a video showing the top ten nations with regard to GDP over the last few centuries. I haven't tried to check its accuracy, but it is interesting.
