I actually consider that article significant enough to warrant its own post, which is this one.
Some key points are:
- the sub-title was: “How organizations can hold themselves — and the practitioners they work with — accountable for measurably improving outcomes for marginalized populations”;
- unrealistic expectations of clients and inconsistency and variations amongst diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practitioners were some of the identified problems;
- suggested solutions include (there are others in the article!):
- Identify DEI challenges before prescribing DEI solutions; and
- Measure not only inputs, but outcomes.
