A tiny update on tiny homes

Black Lives Matter!

Last year's review into caravans and mobile homes has produced some output, although it seems to not be of particular use to those of us who wish to build and live in more economic, eco-friendly tiny homes. I would, however, like to take that as an opportunity to provide some recent links on tiny homes:
  • from the architecture focused "living big in a tiny home" YouTube channel, an episode on a tiny home built by a woman with "future proofing"in mind;
  • the business that the woman has established (in, sadly for us, given we are in Australia, New Zealand - the basic version of the house shown is here); and
  • a reminder of what is being done overseas to use tiny homes to house homeless people (although that village is more comprehensive - better - than I have seen in other such projects).
I spent 8 years living in a 24' yacht (in a marina), and hate the unnecessary, wasted, expensive, and environmentally unfriendly space in most houses.

At this stage, I suspect the accomplishment of permission to live in tiny homes - which will happen, despite the FBU dinosaurs who are resisting it - will happen too late for me. May others take full advantage of it.
