Further to my post at https://politicalmusingsofkayleen.blogspot.com/2022/02/computers-and-their-human.html, something else mentioned in "Zero Day: The Threat In Cyberspace" by The Washington Post and Robert O'Harrow is that, at hacker conventions, no-one uses Wi-Fi (nor, presumably, Bluetooth): everything is run through cables for security ("in case [X] is stolen by another hacker").
So whenever computer people advocate for cable-free communication, they are basically saying our stuff is so unimportant no-one else could be bothered to steal it . . . not even out of idle boredom . . .
Yeah, right.
I'll continue to be cautious about ALL non-cable communication - more so than the concerns I have about cabled communication between digital devices.
