“Religious” does not automatically mean “anti-LGBTIQA+”

One of the things that annoys me about the mainstream media is that, despite its predilection for bothsideism, religious hate against LGBTIQA+ is reported as if that is the only side - which is rubbish.

There are religions that are inclusive - including as a central tenet of their belief!

One of the Wiccan religions I have been initiated into as a Priestess states that obtaining experience is a key purpose of life, and thus across a multiplicity of lives people will experience a wide range of genders and sexualities for the sake of their spiritual growth!

That tenet is repeated in the other I have been initiated into (again, as a Priestess), and in which I have also served as an Elder.

If youre one of those flawed people who think size or “officialness” matter, how about the Metropolitan  Community  Church? Or the Uniting  Church

MSM: stop bloody reporting religious bigotry as if hate is the only “side” of religion!

Youre wrong - its not.

For context, the following is from my current draft weekly news post:

as an attempt at inclusivity leads to neochristian (TND) anti-LGBTIQA+ hate and despair (TG) on the part of those (SMH) it sought to help, Rugby Australia will continue to allow transgender athletes to play in community competitions (SMH);

LGBTIQA+ advocates also do their communities a disservice when they take an anti-religion stance - that is hijacking issues in much the same way as a few anti-marriage people appear to have effectively allowed same sex-same gender marriage to be banned many years ago.

Stop making the mistake of pre-judgement that is behind all forms of bigotry!
