This is needed in other police forces around the entire world (e.g., the Philippines, Greece) - including because, in my opinion, police become more authoritarian and right wing as they become more scarred by the excessive expectations we, society, place on them:
This analysis of data and trends is concerning, but also an excellent example of how to work with such data. The background effort of those collating such data also needs to be commended:
I have now come across the excellent work by Neal Katyal, whose description on his YouTube channel includes the following:
Neal Katyal is the former Acting Solicitor General of the United States under Obama and has argued more Supreme Court cases in U.S. history than has any minority attorney, recently breaking the record held by Thurgood Marshall. Additionally, Neal is a law professor at the Georgetown University Law Center where he was one of the youngest professors to have received tenure and a chaired professorship in the university's history; he is also a visiting professor at both Harvard and Yale law schools.
Mr Katyal has a series looking at #45's meaningless and trite legal actions, and is now moving on to the violence and responses, including:
- "COURTSIDE - Episode 58 - Impeachment takes off in House";
- "COURTSIDE - Episode 57 - Trump Twitter ban; impeachment looms for good reason"; and
- "COURTSIDE - Episode 55 - Reflections on the Capitol violence and what to do about it".
He has also co-written a book "Impeach: The Case Against Donald Trump" (Amazon).
And meanwhile, the charges continue to be compiled ...
