Another activism email: US warning of global risks during the northern hemisphere's Pride Month [Note: Content Warning - mention of bigotry, hate, violence. Reader discretion is advised]

I have just sent the following to state and federal MPs: 

 

Dear Members of Parliament,

I wish to draw your attention to the following, which is possibly made more significant ny the acts of stochastic terrorism by  a number or anti-trans groups in Australia:

“Warnings of attacks by anti-LGBTQIA+ groups in June”   https://qnews.com.au/warnings-of-attacks-by-anti-lgbtqia-groups-in-june/   “US officials warn that anti-LGBTQIA+ terror groups may attempt to attack LGBTQIA+ events around the world during Pride Month in June.”   

The article points out:   the Orlando mass killing occurred in Florida during Pride Month, 2016;   mass shootings took place in Colorado and Oslo in 2022;   GLAD reported at least 145 incidents during Pride Month in 2023;   and the growing threats (including a violent mass attack by hundreds of transphobes in NSW a year or so ago) of far right religious (or pseudo religious, perhaps) and neo-n___ groups in Australia.
