Preview from coming news post: surveillance of workers, the UK monarch can rescind our laws, and bureaucratic indifference to the death of their victims

There are a few matters from this week's coming news post that I consider worth highlighting now:

  • 3 ways ‘bossware’ surveillance technology is turning back the management clock (TC) - the identification of specific problems is important, and the history of so-called scientific management is good background, and I can see all these outcomes (decreased health & productivity and failure to measure proper outcome) in the obsession with utilisation rates;
  • the monarch of the UK can rescind ANY of Australia’s laws within a year of their passage - Section 59 of our constitution;
  • a whistleblower has pointed out the callous indifference to the risk of suicide amongst victims of bureaucracy - and, from my personal experience, I second that, especially re this (TG).
