Africa has a long history of behaving with greater compassion than the rest of the world - especially with regard to refugees and internally displaced people, but also with the genocide cases brought by The Gambia against Myanmar/Burma, and South Africa against Israel (and irrespective of the merits of those cases, or one’s opinion about the merits, they took action when the rest of the world would not).
And now Kenya has provided realistic, practical, much-needed help to Haiti.
Thank you, and well done Kenya, The Gambia, and South Africa ... and the African philosophy of Ubuntu.
