Media reports in recent days have covered violence - the routinisation of it, the use of it to attack democracy in the quest for/to keep power, attempts to defend against violence using physical force (violence) and threats of more violence to continue attacks on democracy/quests for power.
Abuse of power has also been used to attack democracy - including sovereignty - and human existence, attempt to deny equitable inclusion, denial of institutional racism , attempt to kill refugees, and further hate ... and also possibly in alleged corruption (remember: innocent until proven guilty), continued jailing of suspects who have been cleared of the original alleged wrongdoing.
Judicial reforms have also been delayed.
Ethics have also been treated with contempt - as has inclusion.
In an example of the worst of abuses of power, an appalling case of extended and severe CSA.
On the other hand, some are working for survival - including using their power for good, work is being done to counter conspiracy theories and lies being used as an abuse of power and attack on democracy & inclusion/decency including the Voice referendum, a direct aid organisation has reviewed their work to find ways to improve it and what to keep doing, a community has countered the actions of haters against a library.
Always strive for a better world - be an activist/human rights defender, and express solidarity with those who are also.
If they are of any use of interest, the activism information links from my former news posts are available in this post.

Vote Yes for the Voice in Australia.
Finally, remember: we need to be more human being rather than human doing.
