Violence [Content Warning - discussion on various types of violence]

(Note: I will exclude violence between nations in this post.)

The state is typically considered the main source of coercive force - which basically means people can be compelled to obey laws, including laws against various forms of violence. This requires an enforcement/legal system as well.

If the laws are reasonable, and the imposition of compulsion (“coercion”) is not “”arbitrary (meaning it is free of bigotry, bias, abuse/misuse/failure to use power, etc), this has the potential to be of benefit to people in a society.

The problem with this is when the application of coercive power does not comply with expectations to be reasonable (not arbitrary), measured/proportionate, and free of bias.

Unfortunately, elites have, in my opinion (IMO), distorted this system to support their perversions of society into a nightmare where being landed and/or rich is somehow enough to cause you to have favoured treatment.

People with lots of stuff - however ill-gotten it may be - dont like the thought that those without might scratch their paint ... or bring their alleged smell into the rich peoples air space. (Yes, sarcasm.)

This has all been shown in some news reports of late:

Some reports on violence may also involves those outside the state systems:

Other violence is not directly by the state, but is allowed by state inaction:

 All of these abuses have to be countered by intelligent, adaptive, forceful, unrelentingly persistent, long term activism.

Possible flaws

Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:

  • there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan  Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
  • I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.

If they are of any use of interest, the activism information links from my former news posts are available in this post
