As lies continue and better action is urged on youth justice reform and competence, hopeful steps towards DEI in medicine and at the UN, but lack of enough effective action allows a food crisis continues, leading to “the eerie silence of starvation” ...
Also, science has been held to account over a past failure of ethics, a university over bigotry, and a large corporation over wage theft (the first of many, perhaps). Data breaches continue to occur.
And despots - one on shaky ground - are continuing to silence dissent, and democracy and/or sovereignty remains under threat in places such as Kashmir, Germany, and Australia.
Not buying in to convenience nor facile “science”(especially economic) remains of great importance - along with activism and being part of democracy.
